Meet Limay: Your New Personal Trainer for Seniors in Humber Valley
We are happy to introduce the newest member of the Vintage Fitness team: Limay Feriz, now offering in-home and virtual personal training for seniors in the Humber Valley and across central Etobicoke. If you have been hoping to find a trainer who comes to you, works patiently at your pace, and knows how to build strength safely, we think you are going to enjoy getting to know her.
Seventeen Years of Helping Older Adults Move Well
Limay brings more than 17 years of experience in therapeutic exercise and older-adult fitness. She holds a Master's Degree in Pedagogy, a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, and a certification as a Physical Rehabilitation Assistant. That mix matters. Her rehabilitation background means she is comfortable adapting exercises for clients who live with physical limitations, and her teaching background means she knows how to explain each movement clearly and adjust it to the person in front of her.
Her method is steady and thoughtful. She explains the exercise, adapts it to your body, watches how you respond, and builds your program forward one confident step at a time.
Training That Works Your Body and Your Mind
Limay focuses on functional movement: the strength, balance, mobility and coordination that keep everyday life within easy reach. What makes her approach a little different is how she also works the brain. She weaves in cognitive-motor and dual-task activities, the kind that challenge your body and your thinking at the same time, which is a well-regarded way to support balance and confidence as we age.
"Exercise should be functional, but it should also be something you enjoy."
To keep sessions engaging, she uses playful movement, coordination challenges, and memory activities. When you look forward to your session, you show up for it, and that is what keeps you moving well for the long run.
Serving Humber Valley, Etobicoke, and the Whole GTA Virtually
Limay provides in-home personal training for seniors across the Humber River valley and central Etobicoke, including The Kingsway, Humber Valley Village, Thorncrest Village, Royal York Gardens, Richview, The Westway, and Humber Heights-Westmount, along with Islington, Chestnut Hills, Lambton Mills, Baby Point, and Bloor West Village. If in-person is not convenient, or you live elsewhere in the Greater Toronto Area, she also offers virtual training that brings the same personal attention right into your living room.
Limay is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English, so more families in the community can feel comfortable and understood from the very first session.
