Heart Healthy at Home Workout



With Valentine’s day around the corner the trainers at Vintage Fitness, an in home personal training company for the 50+ thought we would design a 15 minute cardio program.  There is no equipment needed for the program so it can be done anywhere.

If you need modified exercises because of an injury or you haven’t exercised in a while drop me a note erin@vintagefitness.ca and I will send different exercises through.  If you want an even more personalized program for your needs consider on-line training.

Try to get your knees to hip height when you march
Keep your back straight and shoulders down

Squat Exercise for people over 50

Use a chair behind you if you have knee issues your balance is not good

Knees line up over your toes
Use hand weights to make it more difficult

15 reps
(should take 3 minutes)

Low Impact Burpee

Low Impact Burpee Exercise for people over 50

Do high march if you have trouble getting up and down off the floor

3 reps (should take 3 minutes)

Toy Solider

Toy Solider Exercise for people over 50

Keep your back straight and shoulders down

Great hamstring stretch

30 seconds
