Cristina has 19 years of experience as a Physiotherapist in Brazil specializing in Orthopedics (joint issues, osteoporosis, muscle and tendon pain) and Pelvic floor rehabilitation. She has worked predominately with older adults. Her Fitness and Health Promotion degree taught her how to develop exercise programs, motivate clients develop nutritional guidelines for clients.
Cristina has two teenage boys that keep her on her toes and believes that the key to client results is a trainer that provides tailored plans for unique needs of each client. She is passionate about improving older adults’ quality of life with perfect exercise technique. She knows from her 20 years of experience that an active life style will prevent and control obesity that can cause most of chronic diseases like Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and anxiety.

I am 66 years old with no medical conditions that would prevent me from participating in a physical fitness program. Cristina Teixeira was my personal trainer meeting twice a week. She created interesting workouts that allowed me to improve my upper body strength, flexibility and balance. Cristina was always pleasant while reminding me to maintain correct body position. I would recommend anyone who would like to improve their fitness to work with Cristina.
My husband, Stan, has a disease that’s related to Parkinson’s disease. When he could no longer drive, he told me that missed being able to go for his daily workouts at the community centre. That was when I contacted Vintage fitness and he began training at home with Cristina. The goal is to keep him as strong as possible for as long as possible.
Stan was enjoying working with a personal trainer so when COVID 19 forced Vintage Fitness to conduct their classes online, I convinced him to continue his training online even though he prefers talking to people in person.
Now, Cristina and I have become a team. I help Stan with his balance problems and proper exercise form at home while Cristina models the exercises from her home. I appreciate Cristina’s expertise as she is able to adjust the exercises to accommodate Stan’s changing ability to perform them. I also keep her informed of Stan’s particular needs. For example, the classes contain many exercises to maintain flexibility in Stan’s joints since disease is gradually causing them to stiffen. Cristina also allows time for resting between exercises even though Stan insists he doesn’t need to rest.
Stan won’t experience an actual increase in his fitness level, which has always been very good. For him, success will be measured in how well he can slow down the toll disease is taking on his body. Thank you, Cristine for helping him to do this."
